We adopted Zack during the time when I was volunteering with a group and was leading their senior dog program. Zack was surrendered with his 70lb yellow lab sister. Their mom lost their home and could no longer keep them so she took them to the county shelter. We took them both into our home as fosters and it became quickly clear the two of them were not best friends. We were able to find the lab a great new home. Zack was 12 years old and the typical JRT. We ended up deciding to adopt him since he got along so well with our crew. He is an absolute energizer bunny, even now at his senior age.
